Litho-Coco

March 7, 2010
One of the classes I am taking this semester is Lithography. It's a printmaking course, which is my major. The method involves printing using a stone. This way of printing is totally new to me and I am eager to see how things turn out. The process is very particular, which is something I am not very used to. Here are examples of prints, and when I get mine done I'll post it to share.

In the meantime, I recently bought a coconut and haven't opened it yet. I have never been a fan of coconut flakes. I remember one time when I was a little girl in girl scouts, we had an activity that used coconut flakes, and the smell was so over whelming, that it gave me a headache. Ever since then I hated coconut flakes and the texture! Forget about it...N A S T Y
BUT I do love coconut lotion and and coconut oil, so I thought you know what? I am going to give a REAL coconut a try.
When I tried it, I absolutely loved it! The meat is scrumptious, it has a very subtle coconut taste, and a little nuttiness to it. I am hooked on raw coconut now. You should give it a try! I was scared of it, and overcame my fear! What do you have to lose right?
But what do I do with the water on the inside? Any suggestions? I was thinking of putting it into a sweet coconut dessert bread.... not sure if it will work though!

^A little coconut joke to end the night :)

I agree. I absolutely loathe artificial coconut. It used to give me upset stomach and headaches. But real coconut tastes nothing like the fake stuff. The dessert bread sounds good! I usually use it in curries.
