Chefography #2

July 7, 2010
When it comes to T.V. mine is always set on the food network. Even if I'm not watching it, it's always on. Last week I featured a female chef, and this week I am going to feature a male.

This chef would have to be my food celebrity crush!! haha
I think he is tooo cute and I also love his recipes!

I happen to love goat cheese so much. A lot of people think it's really weird and wont even try it, but I think it's so creamy and adds wonderful flavor to a lot of dishes. This here is one of Tyler's easy appetizers that takes no time to make:

BAKED GOAT CHEESE

Yield: serves 4-6
Time: 25 minutes

1 log (approx 8oz) aged goat’s cheese, firm and good quality with a rind
1 jar olive tapenade
1 french baguette
extra-virgin olive oil
kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Slice baguette up into thin rounds and lay out on a roasting tray.
Drizzle with olive oil and season with a little salt and freshly ground black pepper.  Bake in the oven for about 7-8 minutes until golden brown then set aside.
Place the whole log of goat cheese in the oven, depending on the shape you may choose to cut the log in half, and bake for 5-7 minutes until it is warm through and just starting to melt.
Serve warm goat cheese with crostini and fresh olive tapenade.

It's so hot where I live, it's almost unbearable! Good thing I have A/C!
Stay cool and enjoy your day!

Peace, Love, & Goat Cheese

Do you think this works with camembert as well? because I don't like goat cheese.

Yes! I think this would work perfect with that cheese too!

for a sweet touch.. roasted or candied peacans or walnuts with cranberries on top would taste wonderful with camembert!
